PROGARD-6
PROGARD-6 is a modified live virus vaccine containing attenuated strains of canine distemper virus, adenovirus type 2, parainfluenza virus and parvovirus grown in the PRO-CELL STABLE CELL LINE. PROGARD-6 is presented in a desiccated form with inactivated canine coronavirus as the diluent.
The attenuated distemper virus strain used in PROGARD-6 is the Onderstepoort strain. The parvovirus strain of canine origin. The unique InterTek production process has made it possible to produce PROGARD-6 with high titered CPV and CDV components which are highly immunogenic.
The Manhattan strain of adenovirus type 2 in PROGARD-6 confers protection against canine infectious hepatitis caused by CAV-1 as well as CAV-2. Use of the Manhattan strain of CAV-2 provides dual protection without the adverse reactions associated with CAV-1, such as corneal edema ("blue eye").

PROGARD-7
PROGARD-7 is a modified live virus vaccine containing attenuated strains of canine distemper virus, adenovirus type 2, parainfluenza virus, and parvovirus grown in the PRO-CELL STABLE CELL LINE. PROGARD-7 is presented in a desiccated form with inactivated Leptospira canicola and Leptospira icterohaemorrhagiae bacterin as the diluent.
The attenuated distemper virus strain used in PROGARD-7 is the Onderstepoort strain. The parvovirus component is patented* CPV Strain 154 which is an attenuated parvovirus strain of canine origin. The unique InterTek production process has made it possible to produce PROGARD-7 with high titered CPV and CDV components which are highly immunogenic.
The Manhattan strain of adenovirus type 2 in PROGARD-7 confers protection against canine infectious hepatitis caused by CAV-1 as well as CAV-2. Use of the Manhattan strain of CAV-2 provides dual protection without the adverse reactions associated with CAV-1, such as corneal edema ("blue eye").
The safety, efficacy and compatibility of each of the components of PROGARD-7 has been demonstrated to meet or exceed the standards set forth by the U.S.D.A. Extensive safety testing has demonstrated that CPV STRAIN 154 is safe when given to puppies as young as four weeks of age.
