Winterizer FOR ESTABLISHED LAWNS DIRECTIONS FOR USE Dear Folks:
We recommend this package of fertilome WINTERIZER because a Fall fedding can help prevent Winter damage to lawn grasses, and you do not lose as many valuable trees, shrubs, ornamentals and evergreens due to hazards of cold Winter. 1. WHAT IS THIS PACKAGE FOR? This product is especially formulated to help put your lawns, trees, shrubs, ornamentals and evergreens in proper condition to withstand the hazards of a cold Winter, because it helps on the hardening of late growth and helps build root systems. Root growth goes on through the Fall and Winter. Recommended for Fall and Winter uses. 2. HOW DO YOU USE IT? ESTABLISHED LAWNS: Apply fertilome WINTERIZER using spreader settings in table below. Water in thoroughly after application. SPREADER GUIDE
ONE BAG WILL COVER UP TO 5,000 SQUARE FEET These settings can be used only as a guide, they are not absolute.The speed at which the applicator walks, spreader condition and the texture of the turf will alter the rate of application. If product remains in spreader after application to recommended square foot coverage, spread remainder over same area going at right angles. To apply 1 pound of nitrogen per 1,000 sq ft of lawn: apply 20 pounds of fertilome Winterizer per 2,000 sq ft of lawn. The maximum number of broadcast applications per treatment site is 2 per year.
TREES: It is very important to fertilize you trees. Well-fed trees not only grown faster and develp into better shade tree, but well-fed trees normally are not damaged as extensively by Tree Borers and other insects as poorly fed trees. Fertilize your trees by applying 1 lb of fertilome WINTERIZER for each inch of trunk diameter. Apply to ground out under the widest spread of brandches. Water thoroughly. SHRUBS, ORNAMENTALS, EVERGREEN: Appy fertilome WINTERIZER by sprinkling a light coat on the ground out under the widest spread of branches at the rate of 1 cup to 3ft plant; larger or smaller plants in proportion. ROSE, AZALEAS, CAMELLIAS & GARDENIAS: fertilome WINTERIZER can be used for the Fall feeding of Roses, Azaleas, Camellias & Gardenias by following the direction listed above for shrubs. Water well. CAUTION: DO NOT OVER APPLY NEAR SHRUBS AND TREE TRUNKS NOTE: Not recommended for container grown plants! 3. HERE ARE THE RESULT YOU MAY EXPECT!
